Hububali(Loxopterigyum sagotii)Central and South America
The growth range of the species is reported to occur in Central and South America, and is found in Guyana, Venezuela, French Guyane and Surinam. Hububali is commonly referred to as Surinam snakewood, Onotillo, Hoobooballi, Boesi mahonie, Hoeboeballi, Koeipjarie, Slangenhout, Snekie hoedoe, and Kooel pialli. This hardwood is russett tan to light brown with unusual dark stripes and streaks of varying width. These dark patterns are naturally occuring oil spots. The wood is moderately hard and heavy. The grain is fine-textured, straight to irregular.
