Lacewood(Panopsis rubescen)Australia
The growth range of the species is limited to Australia. Lacewood is lighter in both color and density than its Brazilian cousin, Leopard wood. European Lacewood is consider very "plane" and is related to the American sycamore (platanus occidentalis). lacewood wood is also refered to as Silky-oak, Australian Silky-oak, Northern Silky-oak, Queensland Silky-oak, and Selena. This exotic and imported hardwood has a flaky, speckled figure with dark flecks, varying from a small lacelike pattern to a larger "splashy" figure. The texture fairly coarse and is fairly scarce.
